The Reading Room provides a quiet place for personal growth, health, and spiritual discovery. If you would like to take a calm prayerful moment in the midst of a hectic day, this is where you will find it.

The Room is both a bookstore and study room. It offers many resources, ranging from The Bible and Science And Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy to today's award-winning international newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor... to contemporary books, several translations of the Bible, pamphlets, and CDs.

Although our Reading Room is located inside the church, it is open to the public. The hours of operation are: Mondays and Thursday 1-3pm;

The First Church of Christ, Scientist is located in Davenport, Iowa at 3705 Fairhaven Road. Christian Science enables us to understand our relationship to a loving God and our relationship to one another.  Please join us as we explore the Scriptures and the teachings of discoverer Mary Baker Eddy. She has provided us with “… a system of healing based on an interpretation of the Scriptures asserting that disease, sin, and death may be overcome by understanding and applying the divine principles of Christian teachings”.

Annoucements:

The Christian Science churches of Davenport and Moline will have a special Thanksgiving Service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25th at 10:30am.  Everyone is invited and there will be no collection.  Please join us!
